Kimber of Oregon 82A Custom Classic LH -price reduced!
On January 2, 1980 Kimber introduced the Model 82 Classic rifle. Following that on July 28, 1983 they introduced the Custom Classic. This was to meet the need for buyers who wanted a higher level of quality than the base Classic. The Custom Classic had all of the features of the Classic as well as a stock that was made of specially selected California Claro walnut. In addition it had a genuine ebony fore end tip, 18 lines per inch checkering and a Neidner style checkered steel buttplate. As the images show this made for a very outstanding and noticeable rifle. The Custom Classic was priced about 30% more than the standard Classic. On June 2, 1984 Kimber released the left hand Classic and Custom Classic. The left hand Kimbers are scarce compared to the right hand hand ones. This particular rifle has a 2 digit serial number.
This rare and beautiful Kimber Custom Classic, in 22 LR, was likely produced in late 1984. It comes as the images show. The scope rings are the early Kimber rings produced to their design by Leupold. The scope is a period Redfield 2-7 variable with a duplex recticle. $2500 OBO + shipping.
